Welcome the Time of Year with a Cheer and a Beer

With yet another summer dwindling to an end, and the patiently awaiting autumn looming within our sights, we begin to say so long to our outdoor events, barbeques, and festivals. The seasons change also gives us another direction for taste and ideas. It does become a time for apple picking (and apple cider), nice hot soups, and expectations for the time of year. Beer has also come quite a long way in the past years with so many styles and flavors to choose from. We accompany our servings with proper like properties so that they may not only compliment each other but create and keep in line with the seasons color and what it brings. My wife and I have recently uncovered a seasons secret that will keep good company with those upcoming times. Harpoon Brewery, a Boston-based brew balancing bold and brave beer since 1986 has placed in our midst some fall items not to be missed. We’ve tried the Harpoon IPA (India Pale Ale), a golden copper able-bodied blend which easily becomes friends with grilled seafood and chicken with a crisp taste. The pleasant surprise was to find a beer that actually lives up to the flavor that it promises. UFO Pumpkin, a pumpkin ale that my wife so poetically dons, “Thanksgiving in a bottle”. Not only does it place autumn within your grasp, but it fully embodies the promise of pumpkin in your mouth. A wonderful amber signature next to your turkey, lamb, and desert for the division of the year. So as we prepare for one seasons end, celebrate food, fun, and friends with flavor, favor, and fellowship among the fall and an honorable tasty brew. If it was good enough for the Franciscan Friars, its good enough for me and you. Cheers!
